Infused Oats with Flaxseed Oil

This breakfast dish, enriched with omega-3 fatty acids, combines healthy ingredients such as honey, flaxseed oil, almond milk and rolled oats to provide a boost of energy.

Oats are naturally high in fibre, particularly beta-glucan, which helps with digestion and can lower cholesterol levels.

Infused oats can be customised with a variety of toppings and mix-ins like fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices, enhancing flavour and nutritional content.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Stir in oats and cook until desired consistency.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in honey, almond milk and, after it has cooled, flaxseed oil.
  4. Top with nuts, fruit or pumpkin seeds before serving.
